YouTube has thousands of channels covering personal finance, investing, budgeting, debt payoff, and real estate. Some of them are genuinely excellent. Others are free content that exists to funnel you toward a $997 course, an email list, or a sales call with someone who wants to manage your money for a fee.

How We Pick What Goes In

We review every channel before it goes on this list. We check for membership walls, forced email signups, and bait-and-switch tactics at the channel level. We look at whether the content actually teaches you something or just convinces you that you need to pay someone to do it for you.

We do not watch every video on every channel. No one has time for that - and we will not pretend otherwise. What we can tell you is that every channel here passed a review before it made the list. If you find something that does not belong, there is a link at the bottom of every page to let us know. We will look at it and remove it if it does not meet the standard.
